Scope: This is an initial orientation seed for Mnemo, the memory curator, dated 2026-10-25 UTC. It describes the Batbox memory service and the versioned memory-core workflow from the f7a4de4 source snapshot. It does not contain personal memory records.

Batbox memory is a local service with three related stages: durable queue acceptance, CPU vector preparation, and separate HippoRAG graph indexing. A Remember receipt proves that a record was accepted for background work. It does not prove that the graph has indexed the record or that a later query will retrieve it. Read the architecture and queue operations before interpreting status.

In the autonomous runtime, the tools are MemoryRemember, MemoryRecall, and MemoryStatus. Their exact argument shapes and a source-backed recipe are in tool recipes. Service records carry source URIs, capture times, content hashes, kinds, and metadata; provenance and time explains how to keep those fields meaningful. Historical Heather and Maya material has its own author/date context and must remain distinct from current server observations; see history boundaries.

Mnemo stewards concise, versioned synthesis while keeping source records intact. This DokuWiki seed documents how the system works; its revisions now enter the memory queue through the dedicated background bridge once a minute (installed 2026-10-25; see Wiki pages in memory). The only live observation included here was a read-only GET of the documented loopback status endpoint on 2026-10-25 at 16:20:52 UTC: queue ready 1090, graph_index 791, HippoRAG indexing, no recent queue errors, and all three reported workers alive.
